Media Cafe Launches Site for Media Planners, Buyers and Sellers

Today, Media Cafe launches what is thought to be a world first a ‘one-stop shop’ website to help media planners, buyers and sellers communicate more effectively. (mediacafe.com.au)

Media Cafe site aims to take the myriad of information which is available in the media world and groups it in easily searchable categories. While industry news will be a small part of Media Cafe, it offers a much more comprehensive suite of helpful tools for all media professionals.

For example, planners and buyers will have instant access to special reports and case studies searchable by media type and by business category, the latest media opportunities, new media promotions, industry forums and a host of ready-reference data-bases including media kits, reps directories and regular media data updates. Media planners, buyers and sellers will be able to self-publish their data and contribute industry news and gossip…even function photos.

A key feature of Media Cafe is that all postings, in all categories, are free. It doesn’t matter whether if you are a media planner, buyer or seller, you can self-publish a variety of information, news, gossip and photos in over 20 major categories.

Media Cafe founder, Chris Muir, says, ‘Media Cafe will be populated by the media industry, for the media industry. We asked the industry what they wanted and we have built what they asked for. It will be a great sales tool for media vendors and will provide a wealth of easily accessible information for buyers.’

According to Media Cafe’s National Sales Director, Duncan Bendall, Media Cafe plans on being the ‘sweet spot’ for trade marketing. ‘With an audience made up almost exclusively of Australia’s leading media planners and buyers we will be offering media vendors pin-point accuracy for their trade marketing.’ says Bendall.

Media Cafe plans to launch the full version of their site early in 2010 but in the meantime encourages media planners, buyers and sellers to pre-populate the site with their data….for free.
