A tweeting success in Newcastle
Newcastle’s first Coffee Morining for twitterer’s didn’t look too healthy at 8am this Friday morning with me sitting on my own in the Baristaba Expresso Café, staring uncomfortably at any person straying near the café entrance.
But after what felt like an hour, I got a knowing look and wink from a dude wearing a red t-shirt. Luckily, it was Wayde Christie. Within minutes of his arrival our table was full of twitterer’s and chatter with everyone who said they were going to be there, sitting drinking great coffee.
The conversation was great, the people were great and our view of the Port of Newcastle was absolutely perfect. Can’t wait until next week’s coffee.
Newcastle Twitterer’s:
Wayde Christie @waydomatic; Rob McClintock @rob_mcclintock; Mat packer @matpacker; Lindy Asimus @lindyasimus; Lou McClintock @loubert; Gordon Whitehead @themarketeraus; Leevi Graham @leevigraham; and rocking Craig (Rosie) Rosevear @schoolofrock.
Anyone wanting to feast their eyes on the bunch of Newcastle twitterer’s, no problem. I took a bunch of bad photos of the event with my iPhone, uploaded them in my new Coffee Morning Photo Album.
I do apologise about the quality, but my aging brain forgot to remind me to pick-up my digital camera which I purposely set as side for capturing this event.
The Newcastle Coffee Morning is planned for the same time and same place next week. Date: Friday, 27th March 2009; venue: Baristaba Expresso Café (behind Silo’s), The Boardwalk, Honeysuckle; and time: 8am to 9am.

It was a great start and a treat to meet everyone. Now see I thought I was the only one that didn’t know people there You were all chatting and getting on famously when I arrived.
A definite success.

Lindy, it was great to see you there.
The success I thought was that we could speak to each other face to face without the aid of a computer.
Hope to see you next week at the Newcastle Coffee Morning.
